Right from the start, the wine cellar was an important feature of the hotel, but in recent years it has been steadily expanded and now comprises about 500 different wines. Because the wine stewards Michael Seiwald and Jochen Gutschelhofer have good connections with many winemakers, the main focus is on matured Austrian wines. The world of wine is alive and exciting. It never stands still and is constantly changing. That's why it is always possible to make the occasional thrilling discovery on our native soil or in unexpected places.
Naturally, Italy also features prominently on the wine list. Wines from Friuli, the area where the town of Trieste from which our hotel takes its name is located, are held in particularly high esteem, but of course all Italy's other regions are also included to a greater or lesser extent.
Some specially selected wines from France, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and the New World complete our extensive range.
